Fiber Amplifiers
The fiber amplifiers come either in the MAKO & SKYLINE OEM Modules or BENCHTOP units.
The MAKO Fiber Amplifier Series is an efficient, ultra-compact (97mm x 85mm x 15 mm) and ultra-light, all-fiber OEM unit specifically designed for many applications requiring small size. This also features low noise, and high saturation output power (1W). They are available in standard or polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber versions for narrow linewidth lasers (<100 KHz). An option for an L-band EDFA module is available. The module comes equipped with RS232 computer interface for easy integration in end-user system application.


The SKYLINE Fiber Amplifier Series provides a combination of low noise amplification, high gain and large output power (>15W) in an efficient OEM package (200mm x 150mm x43mm). The amplifiers come in standard and polarization maintaining (PM) versions and can be customized to meet your specific signal, whether continuous wave or pulsed. Each OEM amplifier unit is carefully designed to amplify very narrow linewidth (kHz) or high baud-rate communication signals with low impairments. This amplifier module is rugged, compact and energy efficient, and is equipped with RS232 and USB computer interface.
The Cybel BENCHTOP is a user-friendly instrument suitable for manufacturing and R&D applications. The BENCHTOP has an exceptionally stable and reliable performance with turnkey operation. It offers analog user front panel interface and a USB computer control interface. The front panel has a high definition LCD, which displays the different control parameters and allows continuous adjustment of the output power. The same parameter control can be achieved in an automated way via the USB port.

MAKO-AMP1064 – Compact Dual Mode (CW & Pulsed) MAKO OEM fiber amplifier for use with wavelengths between 1050nm and 1080nm with >30dB gain and >1W output power.

MANTARAY – High Power Dual Mode (CW & Pulsed) SKYLINE OEM fiber amplifier for use with wavelengths between 1050nm and 1080nm, up to 10W output power.

BT-AMP1064 – Turn-Key Dual Mode (CW & Pulsed) BENCHTOP (BT) fiber Amplifier for use with wavelengths between 1050nm and 1080nm, up to 10W output power.
1.5µm Applications

MAKO-AMP1550 – Compact Dual Mode (CW & Pulsed) MAKO OEM fiber amplifier for use with wavelengths between 1535nm and 1550nm with >30dB gain and >1W output power.

STINGRAY – High Power Dual Mode (CW & Pulsed) SKYLINE OEM fiber amplifier for use with wavelengths between 1545nm and 1565nm with up to 10W output power.

BT-AMP1550 – Turn-Key Dual Mode (CW & Pulsed) BENCHTOP (BT) fiber amplifier for use with wavelengths between 1535nm and 1565nm with up to 10W output power.
2µm Applications

SCIROCCO-1950 – Broadband, high power OEM TDFA with 1W output power and bandwidth from 1900nm to 2020nm. High gain ( 50dB) and large input dynamic range (>30dB) with 4dB Noise figure. Standard and PM fiber options.

MAESTRO-2000 – High power broadband Benchtop TDFA fiber amplifier with output power >20W and bandwidth from 1900nm to 2020nm. Large (20dB) input dynamic range and 50dB OSNR. Standard and PM fiber options.

MISTRAL-2050 – OEM TDFA at 2050nm with 1W output power specifically designed for operation around the CO2 absorption near 2051nm: bandwidth from 2049nm to 2053nm. Standard and PM fiber options.

HELIOS-2100 – High power OEM HDFA with 5W output power at 2100nm. Wavelength bandwidth from 2030nm to 2130nm. Low input power option available (-20dBm). Standard and PM fiber options.

BT-MISTRAL+2050 – Turn-Key Benchtop TDFA with output power >20W at 2050nm specifically designed for operation around the CO2 absorption near 2051nm: bandwidth from 2049nm to 2053nm. Standard and PM fiber options.
